Omar Mohiudin
Chicago real estate, read differently.
I help buyers and sellers navigate Chicago real estate with clarity, care, and a research-first approach.
I’m Omar Mohiudin, a Chicago real estate agent with Redfin, and I’ve spent more than 10 years helping clients make confident decisions in a market that can move quickly and feel overwhelming. My background in sales and banking shaped the way I work today: thoughtful, responsive, and grounded in practical advice.
I work in Ukrainian Village, West Loop, River North, Old Town, the Gold Coast, and Lincoln Park. Each of these neighborhoods has its own pace, pricing patterns, and buyer profile, so I bring a local lens to every conversation and tailor my guidance to what matters most for each client.
Through The Chicago Brief, I share market insights and neighborhood commentary designed to help people understand Chicago real estate in a smarter, more useful way.
My goal is to be the kind of advisor clients can trust for honest guidance, strong communication, and steady support from start to finish.

I’m honestly tired of all the generic, AI-sounding reviews… so here’s a real one. Like a lot of people, I went into my first home purchase with the mindset of “don’t trust realtors.” I truly believed that. I was wrong. From day one, Omar showed me he’s a genuine human being first and a professional second. At our first showing, I actually went in with my guard up. I even played a little dumb about homes because I wanted to see if he would try to steer me in the wrong direction. Instead, I told him it was my first time buying, and he immediately took the time to walk me through what to look for, how the process works, and what to realistically expect. Everything he shared was honest, accurate, and came from a place of actually wanting me to make a good decision. I had a stupid amount of questions (seriously… a s**t ton), and he never once made me feel like I was being annoying or wasting his time. Every call and text was met with patience, positivity, and a real willingness to help, and I’ll admit I was probably reaching out almost every day. Anytime I had a new list of homes, he moved quickly to set up showings and always kept communication clear. We ended up seeing 40+ properties over about two months. The biggest thing for me was that he never pressured me to buy. If anything, he helped keep me grounded when I started getting impatient or emotional about making an offer. (Had a contract pulled AFTER acceptance. I was pissed.). He was straightforward, gave honest opinions, and guided me through every step like someone who truly cared, not just about the sale. I’m actually going to miss texting him every day but it was completely worth it. (I'm sure he won't because I probably blew up his phone) I highly recommend Omar. If you work with him, you’ll be treated with respect, honesty, and real sincerity
